Just the Tip #8

You guys, there has been a war going on at my house. For the longest time, I thought I had a fruit fly infestation. I tried everything! My house reeked of apple cider vinegar from all the traps I had around. Nothing worked. Then, my Mom offered a suggestion that provided us some relief.

Just the Tip #5

This is a tip I've used for years! Using clothespins instead of chip clips to clip food bags closed is so convenient and has saved me so much money! I bought a package of clothespins several years back at Walmart or a Dollar Store or something. It cost me a couple dollars and I haven't had to buy a new bag yet! I use the clothespins to close chip bags, frozen food bags, whatever. If they get lost or broken, I don't even bat an eye. There are more in my drawer and they're super cheap! You can even use extras for craft projects!

Just the Tip #4

Use baking soda to exfoliate your skin.
I wish someone had told me this years ago! I have wasted so much money on fancy face scrubs over the years! Turns out, the best exfoliant EVER was sitting in my kitchen cabinet the whole time!

Just the Tip #2

I know, this one sounds weird. One of my favorite thrift stores was having problems with people changing their prices, so they started marking everything with permanent marker. Ugh! So frustrating! Just the Tip #3

It's sure been a crazy week with all the election hoopla. Living in the battleground state of Ohio keeps things interesting. I decided to spare you guys all the gory details. I'm sure you're as sick of it all as I am.

Helpful Tip #3 is brought to you from my Mom. She let me in on this little tidbit only after I had the emotionally scarring experience of finding meal moth larva IN my flour canister! *shudder* I think it went down in a phone conversation like this....

Just the Tip #1

Today's helpful tip is courtesy of my wonderful neighbor, Judy! Judy says that you can easily get rid of blood stains by soaking the soiled fabric in milk! Then all you have to do is wash as usual. You might want to take a peek at your item when it comes out of the washer and make sure the blood's totally gone, since the dryer will set any stain that left.

What a great tip and it's one that I've never heard before or even seen on Pinterest! Thanks, Judy!
